This past weekend, we played our first wedding, down in Atlanta. It was a gorgeous outdoor setting, and once the sun calmed down a little bit, we really enjoyed it. The bride and groom had a special request for the procession, and we played a nice mix of our songs and our versions of some tunes by Townes Van Zandt, Neil Young, and Bruce Springsteen before the ceremony. Being outside and having live acoustic music while guests arrived before the ceremony, and then for the procession, worked so nicely. It helped to set a tone for the gathering, and made the day a bit more special for everyone. We were glad to be a part of it. (Especially since the groom is my cousin!) I think we’d do another wedding given the chance. And if it’s in a setting as beautiful as this one, then all the better! Get married and hire us! – Kate
